Chicago Pneumatic
The CP7740 range from Chicago Pneumatic is the most compact and lightweight impact wrench in its class, thanks to a high-performance, dual chamber motor utilising magnesium components and a lightweight magnesium housing – hence term MgDriven technology. Magnesium is a very light, silvery-white metal approximately one third lighter than aluminium.
According to the company, the CP7740 range is a direct result of feedback from the industry; users want lighter tools but don’t want to compromise on power or size. The CP7740Q version comes equipped with the modular CP muffler system which significantly reduces noise, and both the CP7740Q and the standard CP7740 models are available with a 2” extended anvil meaning the CP7740 family of four products can reach and unfasten even the toughest of nuts.
The powerful CP7740 weighs in at just 1.25 kg (2.7 lbs), measures 160mm (6.3”) in length, and provides over 678Nm (500ft-lbs) of maximum torque. The CP7740 family incorporates all the design and ergonomic concepts users have come to expect from Chicago Pneumatic. Other features include:
• Lightest weight, full power ½” impact for greater control and operator comfort
• Compact size for easy access to the tight spots
• Absolute highest power-to-weight ratio in a ½” impact wrench.
• High performance, dual chamber motor with magnesium components
• Chicago Pneumatic patented clutch and teasing trigger
“The size and weight of the CP7740 really has to be seen and used to be believed,” says Jan Bath, Chicago Pneumatic UK communications manager. “The tool has been developed as a result of working very closely with our customers and it’s time for the ½” impact wrench revolution to start,” she concludes.
