Barum Dealers Win Big
Barum Tyres has announced the winners of its recent dealer promotion which saw a mixture of high-tech goodies up for grabs as a reward for tyre sales. Dealers were split into three categories to make it a fair competition, giving all dealers, regardless of spending, the chance to win.
Right Cars based in Ayrshire won the Category A prizes, which included a laptop computer, PSP Base Unit, remote control car and iPod Shuffle. Predominantly dealing in car sales, Right Cars fit the Barum brand to their vehicles and has been a customer for over ten years. Workshop manager Andrew Smith, accepted the prizes on behalf of his team of twelve staff members. The prizes were presented by Richard McCormick, Business Development Director for Viking International, exclusive distributors of Barum Tyres.
Peblig Tyres, based in Caernarfon, came out on top for Category B and received a top of the range camcorder. Peblig Tyres has been a Barum customer since they were established over four years ago. Staff member, Laurence Challinor received the prize from Malcolm Roberts, business development manager for Viking International and commented “We are over the moon to have received this prize as a reward for our business.”
Ashfield Tyre Services from Luton was the final winner for Category C. Employing eight staff members, Ashfield Tyre Services operates five mobile fitting vans, dealing with customer breakdowns and truck business, and has been a Barum dealer since 2001. Owner Tim Raynor was delighted to accept the Scalextric prize from business development manager for Viking International, Mike Singleton. “Barum is a fantastic, high quality range with excellent continuity of supply and keen pricing which allows us to sell Barum Tyres on with confidence,” commented Tim. He has decided to donate the Scalextric prize to Addenbrookes Children’s Hospital in Cambridge where his three and a half year old nephew has been treated for cancer since January 2007. Barum extends their wish for Tim’s nephew a speedy recovery and hope the children make good use of the Scalextric toys.
Barum Tyres reports that is has further promotions planned for later in the year including an exclusive rally driving competition for dealers.
