Vacu-Lug Signs Five-Year Deal With Nightfreight
Vacu-lug, Europe’s largest independent retreader of commercial and industrial tyres, has renewed its national distribution contract with leading specialist delivery business Nightfreight for a further five years. Nightfreight will collect new and professional retread tyres from Vacu-lug in Grantham and transport them to its regional hubs before distributing them nationwide to Vacu-lug’s 300 strong customer base which includes TDG, Keuhne & Nagel, Woolworth’s, and Veolia Environmental Services Ltd. Used casings will also be collected on a nationwide basis.
In addition from April 2007 Vacu-Lug reached agreement with Pirelli resulting in the transfer of their retread production and distribution to Vacu-Lug adding further volume into the Nightfreight distribution network.
John Parsons, finance director at Vacu-Lug, said: ”Nightfreight has more than proven itself over the past 5 years with an on-time in-full delivery programme that has far exceeded our expectations. We are confident that Nightfreight will continue to play an important role in the growing Fleet Management area of our business which requires us to help keep organisations on the road 24/7. As a result we are very happy to sign up for another 5 years.”
As part of the new deal, Nightfreight has provided a new fleet of 19 rigid vehicles and 3 articulated vehicles.
