Toyo US Subsidiary Wins Gold Award for Website
Nitto Tire North America Inc. (Toyo’s Nitto Tire sales subsidiary in the US) has won a gold award for its website (http://www.nittotire.com) in the “Consumer Information” category of the Horizon Interactive Awards. The awards are an international competition recognizing outstanding work in the field of interactive media, such as on-line advertising and CD-ROMs.
The awards were established in 2002 in order to honour and share outstanding work that is both creative and functional. This year is the sixth year of the awards, with approximately 1,000 entries from 24 countries around the world and almost every U.S. state. Judges with wide experience in the interactive media industry evaluated entries in 19 categories, from advertisements to video games.
Nitto Tire North America Inc. spent about eight months completely redesigning its website in order to introduce its original and innovative Nitto brand line-up in an entertaining manner. The website not only introduces Nitto’s product line, but also presents pictures and videos of the racing teams the company sponsors for download. It also contains charts designed to make it easier to understand the complicated technical aspects of each tyre.
