Renault Van Takes Fleet World Honours
The Renault Trafic van was voted ‘Best medium van’ for the fifth consecutive year at the Fleet World Honours 2007 awards ceremony in London recently. The awards are presented to manufacturers who, in the opinion of the panel of judges, have achieved the highest levels of excellence in their sector. The judging panel is made up of industry experts, including the editorial team from Fleet World, members the leasing industry, fleet managers and representatives from residual values guides.
Keith Hawes, Director. Fleet & Commercial Vehicle Sales, Renault UK, paid tribute to the ‘enduring appeal’ of the Trafic and called it “the van of choice for fleets”. He added: “The Trafic was revised in September last year and it remains just as modern and practical as when it was first launched six years ago.”
Renault also picked up an award for its first-ever dedicated fleet website, only four months after it was launched. www.renaultfleet.co.uk was created specifically to cater to the specialist needs of fleet customers and to make the life of a fleet manager easier. Renault conducted a survey among fleet operators to find out which online features would be of most use to them and what features they would like to see on a dedicated fleet website. Among the unique features that it offers is fleet management software, free of charge.
