Puncture Proof Industrial Tyres on Show
The company behind the British-made AirBoss tyre system has announced that it is exhibiting at the SED show on 22 May in Corby. The system comprises rubber segments, made in a high-quality environment, and individually bolted to a bespoke metal rim. The clever thing is the segments can be refitted in minutes, by the vehicle’s operator! The AirBoss system is typically fitted to vehicles such as skid steers, dumpers, loaders & access platforms.
Recently, AirBoss launched a new and improved, puncture-proof tyre system, now with silica, eliminating the migration of cracking and reportedly extending the life cycle.
AirBoss supplied the only tyres that could tolerate conditions on the construction of the Channel Tunnel. Since then the AirBoss system has been used in a number of environments that would wreck traditional pneumatic or foam-filled tyres. These include demolition sites, quarries, landfills, metal recycling yards, high temperature zones & corrosive areas.
The system is now an optional fitting for all plant vehicles. Companies adopting the segmented-tyre system include JCB, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Case and Bobcat.
