Get Smart With Ayce
Smart Repairs are a smart option for those wanting to restore the appearance of their vehicle without sinking a large sum of money into the process – and an even smarter option for those in the automotive refinishing industry. This is a fact well known to Ayce Systems, a leading UK supplier of smart repair systems, consumables and aftermarket support. And given that this company’s client list includes some well-known names – the UK operations of Renault, Peugeot and Fiat are but three – it’s safe to say Ayce Systems knows a thing or two about the smart repair business.
The company’s product range is sizeable and includes numerous smart repair systems for vehicle bodywork and interiors, but the Ayce Systems display at Brityrex, naturally enough, focused upon their alloy wheel repair line-up, including the WheelRite Pro, an item Acye says incorporates everything needed to repair and refurbish kerbed, scratched and corroded alloy wheels up to repainting stage.
The WheelRite Pro incorporates a turntable that revolves at 30rpm, a universal jointed floating grinding/polishing arm, integral bead breaker and tyre inflator plus an independent drive for grinding and polishing wheels. Rims up to 22-inch diameter can be accommodated on the WheelRite Pro, and the unit is very easy to operate – Ayce claim that the average repair time, from removing the wheel from the vehicle right up to completion, only takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the type of wheel and extent of damage.
A recent addition to the Ayce wheel repair range is the Wheelrite spray booth. Ayce Systems refer to this unit as a dual purpose unit, as not only will it see service as a mobile spray booth that rotates the wheel and removes impurities and vapours from the airstream (in compliance with Health and Safety regulations), by removing the unit’s hood the Wheelrite spray booth can also be used in general smart repairs.
When Ayce Systems point out the market potential for their alloy wheel repair systems, it is easy to understand why the WheelRite Pro has been so successful – Ayce say that in the UK some 70 per cent of vehicles are sold with alloy wheels. That is about 84 million wheels in total. And if a repairer charges £50 per alloy wheel repair (a figure used by Ayce Systems as an example) the potential earnings that can be obtained every week through the use of the WheelRite Pro are considerable.
