NTDA Dinner at Brityrex – Bigger than Ever
Attendance at the NTDA/TAFF Awards dinner is reaching record levels with over 400 members and guests already booked to attend. Commented NTDA National Chairman John Tarbox: “The dinner is the key business event for the UK Tyre Industry and running it alongside the exhibition has certainly contributed to this year’s record support.” During the Exhibition the NTDA stand at Brityrex will be focusing on one of the key health and safety issues in the trade, manual handling.
In partnership with Penny Hydraulics and Renault UK the stand will showcase the dangers associated with the handling of modern truck tyres both for roadside repairs and on mobile units.
Another feature of the stand will be the display of a Michelin Vintage Tyre Van which gives a real insight into the tyres, and equipment fitters used in the thirties. Managing the stand will be NTDA’s TyreLink Truck Tyre Breakdown manager Alison Fitzgerald who will be staging a member’s doughnut breakfast on the last day of the show, Tyrelink members wishing to attend should contact Alison on alisonfitzgeral@ntda.co.uk.
Registrations for the NTDA seminar on the aftermarket’s “Right to Repair” are also flooding in and anyone wishing to attend should contact NTDA Head office in Aylesbury as soon as possible. Places are said to be “strictly limited.”
Manchester will be the focal point for the UK tyre trade between 1 and 3 May. Other events being staged by the association include a regional meeting for the North West and North Wales region and the association’s National Annual General Meeting which is being held in an annex to the GMex centre on the Wednesday.
Tickets to the event have been sent out to all members and anyone wishing to pre-register should visit the Brityrex website on www.eci-international.com/brityrex.htm.
