Zisser Tire Co-Founder Passes Away
(Akron/Tire Review) John Zisser Sr., 84, co-founder of St. Louis’ Zisser Tire Co., passed away Feb. 14, according to the company.
The native of Austria immigrated to the U.S. when he was three years old. After college, Zisser served in the Marines in both World War II and the Korean War. He went on to a 30-year career with BFGoodrich, retiring in 1984.
Later, he co-founded Zisser Tire in St. Louis with his son, John Jr., and retired for good in the mid-1990s.
