Report: Hankook Boosting Shipments to Ford

(Akron/Tire Review) Yonhap news service reported that Hankook Tire Co. plans to increase tyre shipments to Ford Motor Co. next year. The report said Hankook will boost OE shipments to Ford by about 150,000 units.

Hankook said it currently supplies Ford in the US with some 7 million tyres each year.

In addition, Hankook said it is looking to add an OE contract with Toyota, according to the report.

Hankook’s current worldwide production capacity is approximately 70 million units.
