Prime Time Retreading

(Akron/Tire Review) TRIB reported that retreads and retreading will take centre stage on an upcoming instalment of the popular Discovery Channel series Mythbusters. According to Harvey Brodsky, TRIB’s managing director, the organization was responsible for getting the segment approved and taped.

TRIB said that no final broadcast date for the segment has been announced, but it will likely air (in the US) in late April or early May. Brodsky said a portion of the segment was taped at an ISO certified retreader in Santa Rosa, Calif., but he offered no other details.

Mythbusters, which takes a scientific approach to proving or dispelling commonly held myths, is one of the highest-rated shows on TV, and Discovery Channel’s most popular.
