Kwik-Fit Signs First Major Fleet Deal With Enterprise Rent-A-Car
Kwik-Fit Fleet has won its first major vehicle servicing fleet deal with one of the UK’s largest suppliers of rental cars. The fast-fit giant will become the preferred servicing supplier of the 30,000 cars and light commercial vehicles on the Enterprise Rent-A-Car fleet.
In the UK, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is a major provider of vehicles to corporate and public sector fleets as well as offering replacement vehicles and courtesy cars. The company started in the UK in 1994 and operates from more than 300 locations. The majority of Enterprise Rent-A-Car branches are within five miles of a Kwik-Fit centre so making it easy for vehicles to undergo an oil and filter change, an interim service or full service depending on mileage.
This year Britain and Europe’s largest independent fast-fit supplier expects to see an increasing number of car and light commercial vehicle fleets use its centre network for service, maintenance and repair work as well as MoTs. Currently 250 Kwik-Fit centres nationwide offer vehicle servicing and that will expand to 300 this year.
Kwik-Fit Fleet sales director Mike Wise said: “Delivering a vehicle service, maintenance and repair offering to an increasing number of fleets is a major focus for us in 2007. An increasing number of fleets are recognising the opportunity for potential operating savings by putting their cars and light vans into Kwik-Fit for service, maintenance and repair work as well as MoTs. We offer a faster service than dealerships, which reduces downtime and overall costs and companies also benefit from transparent pricing.
“Time is money and for that reason fleets want a fast and efficient service that is convenient for their company car and van drivers. Our seven-day-a-week opening and our ability to offer an MoT and service within typically 48 hours of booking rather than the 14 days of most franchised dealers makes our expansion into this sector very attractive to fleet operators.”
Commenting on the Enterprise-Rent-A-Car deal Mr Wise said: “We have agreed a bespoke service schedule with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and we look forward to working with the company’s individual branches to provide an industry-leading service.”
Enterprise currently relies largely on local branches to ensure vehicles are serviced on schedule with a local supplier, but has chosen to partner with Kwik-Fit Fleet to ensure a consistency of service delivery nationwide.
