Goodyear OE for US DaimlerChrysler Truck Division

The latest release from DaimlerChrysler subsidiary Sterling Truck Corp. will come fitted with Goodyear Unisteel commercial tyres as OE equipment. Designed especially, in the words of the tyremaker, for “traction-challenged work sites”, the 225/70R19.5 size tyres feature a high scrub-resistant tread compound to provide added durability in applications such as pick-ups and deliveries, where turning, braking and reversing are much more frequent than the norm.

“We’re obviously excited to be standard equipment on this exciting new work truck,” said Rich Cottrell, Goodyear original equipment account executive. “Goodyear’s work tyres, robust in toughness and traction and resistant to extreme tread wear forces, help ensure the reliability of the Bullet.”

Sterling trucks are currently sold in North America and Mexico, with right hand drive versions available in Australia and New Zealand.
