Further Management Appointments for Viking
Tyre and exhaust wholesaler Viking International has made several new management appointments in the UK. Scott Herne has been appointed as their new divisional call centre manager for the region covering Scotland. Scott, based in Glasgow, will be responsible for the overall development and management of the company’s Division 1 Call Centre, providing direction for his team on quality, productivity and process improvement.
Viking managing director John Kemp commented “Scott’s solid experience in sales is an asset and his presence in the role of Divisional Call Centre Manager will enable us to provide an even better service for our customers as we continue to develop our business.” Prior to taking on this role Scott was employed in another sales role with Viking and also spend three years with Platform Building Materials.
“I look forward to taking a hands-on approach and providing guidance to the team in continually hitting sales targets,” said Scott, commenting on his new position.
Two new business development managers – covering the Liverpool and Preston areas – have also joined the Viking team. Malcolm Roberts will cover the Liverpool area. Prior to joining Viking, Malcolm, 36, worked in a variety of roles in the motor trade.
Malcolm commented “I am looking forward to the new challenge my role with Viking will bring. I can’t wait to get out there to meet people, and build on the great service Viking already provides, to which I intend to add to with my own experience.”
Simon Hull has been appointed business development manager for Preston, where he will focus on developing and maximising business in the region. Simon has considerable experience in the motor industry, previously working in various sales roles including Jaguar and most recently for a large motor factor group based in Preston, and covering the North of England.
“We are delighted to welcome Malcolm and Simon on board. They both bring an abundance of knowledge and experience to the company,” said John Kemp.
