Fire Damages Goodyear Thailand Facility
A sizeable fire destroyed large sections of a Goodyear factory in Pathum Thani province, Thailand, on March 2. The fire that broke out in a mixing room at about 11.30pm burnt through the factory in about two hours.
Approximately 50 fire appliances attended the blaze but were unable to gain the upper hand, and firefighters had to wait helplessly until the fire burnt itself out.
While no injuries have been reported, it is understood that the extent of the damage has led to a loss of production at the facility. The cause of the fire is as yet unknown.
