Dash Selects Granutech-Saturn For New Tyre Recycling Facility
Recycled rubber products manufacturer Dash Multi-Corp has selected Granutech-Saturn Systems to provide equipment and support for its new crumb rubber facility in Portland, Oregon. The 72,000 sq ft facility, that has cost more than US$13 million to build and is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2008, will be fitted with parallel crumb rubber lines manufactured by Granutech-Saturn. This equipment will produce around 3.5 million pounds of crumb rubber per month when it initially comes online, an amount that should exceed 5 million pounds a month when full capacity is reached.
Marvin S. Wool, Chairman of DASH Multi-Corp, said that, although DASH possesses subsidiaries with engineering and operational personnel with expertise in the area of crumb rubber production, the decision to choose Granutech-Saturn was an easy one. “We were extremely impressed with their turnkey capabilities and their history of past success in working on similar facilities world-wide,” Mr. Wool stated. “We felt that Granutech-Saturn provided DASH with a high level of comfort and confidence unavailable elsewhere. After-sale support and Granutech-Saturn’s long-time commitment to the recycling industry were two other important factors in making our decision.”
US based Granutech-Saturn Systems manufactures and supplies size reduction and processing equipment and systems for use with scrap tyres and a wide range of other waste materials.
