Bendix Realigns Products, Adds CQ Pad Line
(Akron/Tire Review) Honeywell’s Bendix brake brand said it is changing its product lineup for 2007, eliminating part duplication and offering a “competitively-priced” non-asbestos organic (NAO) ceramic formulation to round out its product offerings.
Bendix said its CQ brake pads utilise NAO ceramic technology, and are designed to meet OEM specifications. The line, said Bendix, covers “a wide range of domestic and import applications,” and is comprised of Bendix’s existing non-asbestos disc pads and its NAO Import Quiet offerings.
“Introducing Bendix CQ brake pads allows us to better communicate our formula composition and position it against comparable NAO ceramics in the marketplace,” said Tom Tecklenburg, brand leader for Honeywell Consumer Products Group’s Bendix brand.
“Merging our non-asbestos organic offerings into our new Bendix CQ product portfolio will help eliminate confusion and part duplication for our customers. Now, if a retailer or wholesaler needs to stock a Bendix-branded NAO ceramic product, they’ll know that we have an OE replacement,” said Tecklenburg.
Tecklenberg also said Bendix will add part numbers in the coming months for vehicles that feature NAO ceramic as OE or where an upgrade to NAO ceramic is recommended.
