Yokohama HPT Offers New Marque Specific Wheels
Yokohama HPT Ltd, UK distributor for numerous makes of alloy wheel, including TSW, Mangels and MAK, has added two more marque-specific brands to its portfolio – the Redbourne range, designed exclusively for Land Rover and Range Rover models, and August wheels, intended for the Audi range. Both ranges are manufactured in association with TSW.
The new Redbourne line-up features two designs, the Duke and the Saxon. The Duke is a multi-spoke wheel, with ten flat-faced spokes radiating out from a full mounting face. As the spokes move out towards the wheel rim, they curve inwards, producing a deep lip to the wheel. The Duke is available in silver and hyper black with a mirror-cut lip, while a chrome finish is available as a special order.
The Saxon, on the other hand, is a much smoother design, with six spokes running flat from the full mounting face to the very edge of the wheel rim. The spokes maintain their width all the way to the rim, providing plenty of metal in the wheel arch. Like the Duke, the Saxon is available in silver with chrome as a special order.
Both Redbourne models have been designed specifically for the Land Rover Discovery and the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models, and as such have been constructed with the vehicles’ off road ability in mind. They will operate with the original tyre pressure monitoring system on these models and are available in sizes from 9×18 inch to 9.5×22 inch. Prices begin at £163.13+VAT.
The August range include two designs, the Union and the Werke, and the wheels have been designed for Audi models, including both the ‘A’ and ‘S’ versions of the A3, A4, A6, A8 and the Q7 4 x 4. The Union is a soft five-spoke wheel, with the individual spokes curving inwards from the mounting face to join the wheel rim part way along its width. The Werke, on the other hand, is a more aggressive design, with ten pairs of spokes again running out to the wheel rim and curving inwards as they do so.
Both the Union and the Werke are available in sizes from 8×17 inch to 10×22 inch for the Q7, with the depth of the lip increasing with the size of the wheel. Both are available in silver with a mirror-cut lip and prices start at £127.61+VAT.
The Redbourne and August lines are available alongside the three existing marque-specific ranges distributed by YHPT Ltd. The Beyern range is designed specifically for BMW models, Mandrus for the Mercedes range and Victor Equipment wheels have been developed specifically for Porsche models. All five ranges are now available exclusively through Yokohama HPT’s nationwide dealer network.
