Titan to Show New Tyres – at Goodyear Meeting
(Akron/Tire Review) In what has to be an industry first, one tyremaker will take the stage at another tyre company’s national dealer meeting to introduce a series of new products. Titan Tire will be on hand at Goodyear’s dealer meeting in Orlando next week, to launch three Goodyear-branded farm and skid-steer tyres.
As part of its purchase of Goodyear’s agricultural tyre business and Freeport, Ill., tyre plant, Titan has a license to produce and sell Goodyear-branded farm and small OTR tyres.
Among the new tyre lines to be introduced are the Super Terra Grip, Super Terra Grip XT and Tundra Grip, which Titan said were “a family of large radial terra tyres for use in high flotation and load applications.” The line includes the 1000/50R25 Super Terra Grip Radial XT (load indexes of 172 A8 and 178 A8), which is currently available, and the Tundra Grip and Super Terra Grip, which will be out during the first half of 2007.
The new Goodyear Ultra Sprayer, designed for high load sprayer applications and offered in size 380/90R46 in three load ranges, will also be introduced.
In addition, Titan said it is expanding its Goodyear skid steer line with the introduction of the Goodyear HD 2000 III, available this quarter.
