The Meatiest Tyres in the West

A tyre retailing chain in the America is currently running a novel promotion to encourage the purchase of tyres from its outlets. In true Western tradition Les Schwab Tire Centers, headquartered in Oregon, are offering customers free beef products with their new tyres.

If a customer buys two new passenger car or pickup truck tyres, or four retreads, the tyre dealer will give them US$7.50 worth of beef. The purchase of four new tyres will see US$15.00 worth of beef will accompany the customer home.

Les Schwab Tire, who operates more than 400 outlets in seven US states, claim the promotion is a “thank you” to the farmers and ranchers of the West, and a way of showing gratitude to their customers.

Les Schwab, founder of the tyre chain, personally appears in promotional television advertisements for the company, promising “Free beef now, at the Les Schwab sign!”
