Matador’s new Nordicca – Designed for Europe

Matador has released its third generation passenger car winter tyres, the MP59 Nordicca. Designed with an asymmetric tread pattern the company claims to be the optimal shape for meeting the demands of a UHP winter tyre, the MP59 Nordicca has been built with European conditions in mind.

Compared with its predecessors a stronger emphasis on driving safety has gone into the new tyre, according to Matador. The company highlight the MP59 Nordicca’s traction and braking abilities on snowy and icy surfaces as two of the tyre’s key features in addition to its wet and dry surface performance. The tread pattern compound is made of HD silica, a material intended to both increase adhesion and extend the tyre’s service life.
