Formula S2000 Launched at Autosport Show
The Autosport International Show in Birmingham was the venue chosen for the newest addition to the FIA World Touring Car Championship line-up, the International Formula Master, to officially launch its all-new Formula S2000 race car.
With the entire vehicle, including driver, weighing in at only 550kg, the 2.0 litre 250bhp engine fitted to the S2000 should be powerful enough to provide plenty of excitement for aspiring drivers. Former F1 driver Mark Blundell, who was at the launch, believes the series has genuine potential.
“It’s not often you see a new formula that looks like it’s got the legs to last,” he said. “But this car is really stunning and the prices are extremely competitive. This is going to be an exceptionally valuable addition to the motorsport world; it will help us sift out the talent.”
The car was on public display at the Autosport International Show before being returned to N.Technology, founder of the International Formula Master series, for its final race preparations.
