Federal Tyres Supports new Lotus Race Series.
Taiwan’s Federal Tyres have been named sponsor and official tyre supplier to the Australia 2007 X Challenge one make series for Lotus cars. Federal Corporation’s CEO, Jamie Ma, announced that the competition’s debut series would be also backed by Federal Tyres, and all competing vehicles will run on Federal’s new 595RS X Challenge Special Edition Tyres.
“It is a great pleasure for Federal tyre to sponsor this year’s X challenge,” said Ma, adding that he considers Lotus “one of the most respected brands in the car industry.” Ma further commented that “with Lotus powered by the 595RS, the 2007 X challenge is going to open your eyes and give you a whole new experience.”
Federal describe their 595RS X Challenge Special Edition tyres as being designed for exceptional stiffness, enhancing traction and grip during extreme cornering and optimising power transition during sharp braking and accelerating. The company also highlights the tyre’s appearance, noting that the X Challenge lettering on the sidewall “expresses the (tyre’s) aggressive combat oriented image.”
Federal Tyres has been manufacturing tyres for more than 50 years, and their products have been sold in Australia since the 1980s. Mr. Ma states he is immensely proud of this long-term relationship. “I am delighted to say that the sponsorship of Federal 595RS for X challenge is a small way of expressing how highly we value Australian tyre users. In 2007, there will be more opportunities to strengthen this already close partnership.”
Ma believes that his company’s tyres will meet every challenges this Australian Lotus racing series throws at it, and in closing he adds, perhaps with a gleam in his eye, “so, Aussie, have fun with Federal Tyres!”
