BITS and EBC Brakes to Display at Brityrex
One of the UK’s leading tyre wholesalers and a globally renown brand in motorcycle braking products have become the latest big names to confirm their involvement at May’s Brityrex International 07, according to a recent press statement released by the exhibition’s organisers.
Bristol-based BITS (British & International Tyre Supplies), which has been voted the UK Tyre Wholesaler of the Year at the NTDA TAFF awards for seven out of the last eight years, will be using Brityrex as a showcase to promote its exclusive partnership with Korean tyre brand Nexen Roadstone.
“Nexen Roadstone has a superb range of tyres in car, van and 4×4 and we’ll be using the show to demonstrate this to the trade,” explained BITS director Brian Jenkins. “Another area of the business that will benefit from Brityrex is our Vehicle Main Agents programme, which supplies franchised dealer networks across the country,” he added.
The company’s belief in the show is underlined by the fact that it has taken a prominent 85 square metre stand in Manchester’s G-MEX Centre.
Brian Jenkins is hoping that the exhibition will also coincide with an eighth Tyre Wholesaler of the Year win at the NTDA’s TAFF Awards, which are being staged during the show. “We take nothing for granted, but it would be great to win the award again at a time when so many people from the industry will be in Manchester for the exhibition,” said Brian.
BITS is part of the County Tyre Group, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
For James Hallett, ICT and marketing manager with EBC Brakes, the show will provide an opportunity to build on the company’s awareness and presence in the tyre, automotive and CV aftermarket sectors. Recently approved as the recommended brake product supplier to Bridgestone’s First Stop dealer network, EBC Is convinced that tyre dealers can expand their brakes servicing activities.
“The national roll out program with First Stop is already underway, with many locations already enjoying the benefits of this new relationship,” explained James. “We are convinced that the chance of enhancing profits at a time when margins on tyres are being eroded will be attractive to professional fitting stations and we’ll be using Brityrex to get that message over loud and clear to the trade,” he said.
EBC Brakes is the largest independently owned British manufacturer of braking materials and systems, with ranges covering car, CV and motorcycle applications. Its products have also been evaluated, approved and used by a number of UK police forces.
