BFNAT Launches New Tyres in Chicago
(Akron/Tire Review) At the Chicago Auto Show this month, Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire (BFNAT) introduced the Bridgestone Turanza all-season tyre with “Serenity technology” and the Bridgestone Duravis heavy-duty light truck and commercial tyre.
Featuring an asymmetric tread pattern, the Bridgestone Turanza with “Serenity technology” is designed for premium touring cars and offers wet and dry performance along with ride comfort, according to the tyremaker. The new Turanza also incorporates “Ever-Black technology,” which, BFNAT said, preserves the sidewall’s appearance over time.
“Serenity technology focuses on four key benefits that are paramount for consumers: quiet, comfort, wet performance and long wear,” Bridgestone stated. The tyre is available in 22 sizes and has a UTQG rating of 740 A A (H-rated only). H-rated sizes offer a 70,000-mile treadwear limited warranty; V-rated sizes offer a 50,000-mile treadwear limited warranty; and W-rated sizes feature a 45,000-mile treadwear limited warranty.
BFNAT’s new Bridgestone Duravis tyre line delivers long mileage, durability and reliable performance for fleets as well as personal-use or commercial light trucks, according to BFNAT. It features a square footprint, sidewall protector, stone rejecter technology and heavy construction, stated the tyremaker.
Included in the new line is the R-speed-rated Duravis R500 HD for highway use, available in six light truck 16- to 17-inch Load Range E sizes. In addition, the Duravis R250, available in April, will offer five 16-inch, Load Range E, Q-speed-rated sizes and an all-steel casing, BFNAT said.
