BFGoodrich Launches New AT Sizes

BFGoodrich has announced that its award winning All-Terrain (AT) tyre will now be available in a wider range of sizes. The additional sizes will begin to become available from March 2007 and have been designed to meet the demand to fit a wider range of 4×4 vehicles.

The leading 4×4 brand has long been congratulated on the exceptional grip and superb traction of the All-Terrain tyre. It has been described by some of the world’s best off road champions as fearless, with versatility and reliability amongst its key selling points.

Andrew Williamson, brand manager, BFGoodrich said: “We are pleased to be able to meet the needs of many more 4×4 motorists who use their vehicles predominantly on the road but want the capability to go off road too. The extension of sizes to the range means that we are able to offer the undisputed performance of the All- Terrain to a wider range of semi off- road and on- road drivers.“

In addition to the handling capabilities of the All Terrain, the new range of sizes will also be welcomed by 4×4 enthusiasts who admire the imposing look of the tyre, on vehicles such as the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Mercedes G-Class.

The additional sizes will include:
LT245/75R17 121/118R TL ALL TERRAIN T/A KO LRE RWLGO
Conversion size for – 7.50R16 or 235/85R16: fitted to some Land Rover Defenders, Mercedes G-Class
265/75R16: fitted to some Land Rover Defenders
275/65R17: possible narrower tyre fitment for increased off road traction on some Toyota Land Cruiser applications. May also be fitted to the new Nissan Navara for off road applications requiring additional traction

LT265/65R18 122/119R TL ALL TERRAIN T/A KO LRE RWLGO
Conversion size for – 7.50R16 or 235/85R16: fitted to some Defenders and Mercedes G Class.
265/75R16: fitted to some Defenders and Hummer H3 – conversion for the new Mitsubishi Shogun (some of which will have 18” wheels) for greater off road performance with a slight increase in overall tyre diameter.
LT305/65R17 121/118R TL ALL TERRAIN T/A KO LRE RWLGO
Large diameter conversion size, e.g. from 285/75R16, or a conversion size involving an increase in overall tyre diameter.

LT285/65R18 125/122R TL ALL TERRAIN T/A KO LRE RWLGO
Conversion size involving an increase in overall tyre diameter for example on modified off road Land Rover Defenders or Toyota Land Cruisers. Or a large diameter conversion size, e.g. from 285/75R16, 305/65R17,

35X12.50R15LT 113R TL ALL TERRAIN T/A KO LRC RWLGO – Updating existing floatation size from Q to R speed symbol.

LT265/70R17 112/109R TL ALL TERRAIN T/A KO LRC RWLGO – Updating existing size from Q to R speed symbol.

265/75R16: fitted to some Defenders and the Hummer H3
275/70R16 and 275/65R17: fitted to some Toyota Land Cruisers. With specialist advice may also be used to upsize from some other 17” fitments for off road use.
