PCL Generates Interest at SEMA
Pneumatics Components Ltd (PCL) has generated a fair amount of global interest at the SEMA show, particularly from US companies. The Sheffield based designer, manufacturer and marketer of tyre inflation technology has benefited from an increased awareness of the importance in terms of safety and economic benefits of guaranteeing the accuracy of air pressure delivered to tyres.
Another factor that is creating demand from the US is the spectre of legislation requiring the use of TMPS systems on new cars. It is thought this will become law in 2009, and many tyre dealers and garages are ensuring they are prepared for large numbers of vehicles fitted with these systems.
PCL demonstrated their full range of tyre inflation products at SEMA, including popular Accura 1 handheld tyre inflation unit, developed for measuring and checking digital TMPS. Commenting on their presence at the show, PCL General Manager, Simon Shorter, said: “We were extremely pleased with the reaction from visitors to our stand at SEMA – it proves that we are making our stamp on the US market and have listened to their needs. We will continue to build on this momentum and are looking to grow our distribution network through the US to meet the demand for what is our most exciting and advanced range to date.”
The company exports to over 60 countries and have offices in England and Malaysia, as well as a worldwide network of agents and distributors.
