Michelin Renews International Contract

On January 26 Michelin renewed a long-term global contract with the Volvo Group. The initial contract was signed in December 2003, and under the terms of the new contract Michelin will offer truck tyres as OE for vehicles assembled by Volvo in Europe, North America and South America under the brand names Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Renault Trucks and Mack Trucks.

“We’re delighted that the Volvo Group has once again put its trust in us and we’re proud to contribute to its international growth and development,” said Pete Selleck, member of Michelin’s Group Executive Council and Managing Director of the Truck Division.

The renewal of the contract has consolidated Michelin’s position as the Volvo Group’s worldwide largest volume tyre supplier.
