Marangoni Expanding South American Presence

(Akron/Tire Review) Marangoni Group has entered a “partnership” with Distribuir Argentina in a move to consolidate and grow Marangoni’s activities in South America. Marangoni operates Marangoni do Brasil, a retread product manufacturing and sales business in Brazil.

Based in Rosario, Distribuir Argentina is part of the Laino Group, a compounding company. Distribuir produces strip rubber and claims a 30% marketshare in Argentina. In 1993, Distribuir signed on as aa distributor of Marangoni’s Ringtread products.

The new partnership deal gives Marangoni an increased share in Distribuir, increased distribution of Marangoni-produced strip stock throughout Brazil, further distribution of Ringtread products throughout South America, an licensing of technology.
