Goodyear Gets to Grips With Advanced Driving
Innovative tyre developer Goodyear has joined forces with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) to offer drivers a course that transport research laboratory research suggests can reduce the risk of accidents by 70 per cent. The Goodyear Advanced Driving Course offers motorists of all ages, the opportunity to develop their driving skills, with the most advanced tyre technology on the road and the best trainers in the country.
James Bailey, communications manager for Goodyear said: “The combination of advanced driving and advanced tyres can improve safety and that’s why, as part of our ‘Drive Home Safely’ campaign, we’ve now teamed up with the IAM to promote the benefits of advanced driving skills.”
Another advantage of signing up for this programme is the potential of lower motor insurance costs, as many insurance companies are prepared to offer IAM members lower premiums and higher no-claims bonuses.
