Firestone Industrial Products Earns Award at SEMA Show
(Akron/Tire Review) At the 2006 SEMA Show, a panel of international journalists presented Firestone Industrial Products Co. (FSIP) with an International New Products Award for its new Air-Rite digital air command and Red Label air springs.
The journalists, from 22 countries in Asia, South America, Australia and Africa, reviewed 1,500 new performance products at the SEMA show to determine which products were likely to succeed in their markets.
The new Air-Rite digital air command consists of a standard-duty compressor and a back-lit, digital gauge panel that is installed in dashboards of light trucks, SUVs, vans, minivans, cars and motor homes, according to FSIP. The gauge controls and monitors air-spring pressure without the need to route an airline into the passenger compartment. As a result, the end user can easily read air pressure and equally inflate both air springs, FSIP stated.
Red Label air springs are designed for use in custom-car aftermarket suspension applications, as they allow for the higher air pressures required to support and raise vehicles, according to the company. The air springs feature high-strength cord and operate at pressures up to 150 psi.
