Conti Honoured by GM at Detroit Show
At a ceremony during the North American International Auto Show General Motors praised Continental Automotive Systems for their overall excellence in supporting GM’s product.
Bo Andersson, GM’s vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply, said “GM strives to build the best cars and trucks in the world, and the leadership and employees of Continental Automotive Systems represent what it takes to make GM’s products successful.”
In reply, Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann, president of Continental Automotive Systems and Continental AG executive board member, stated “We are delighted to be recognized by General Motors for our efforts in 2006. Many new GM vehicles being introduced at the NAIAS reflect those efforts and are equipped with Continental’s innovative technologies, from Electronic Stability Control to its advanced telematics systems which help to make cars safer and provide a “wireless life-line” to emergency assistance in the critical seconds after a crash occurs.”
This is the sixth year that GM has honoured suppliers at the North American International Auto Show.
