Brityrex International 2007 Puts Global Marketing Drive into Gear
A major marketing campaign is underway to attract visitors from around the world to this year’s Brityrex International 07 show at the G-MEX Exhibition Centre in Manchester. More than 60,000 free entry tickets to the exhibition are being distributed throughout the UK tyre industry and to professionals around the world. Each exhibitor at May’s show also has the opportunity of taking hundreds of tickets to attract their own customers and contacts to the event.
In addition to the huge ticketing campaign, a third issue of the show’s six-page full colour newsletter was published in early January and mailed direct to more than 7,000 potential UK and international exhibitors. Issue four will follow at the beginning of March.
According to Rowena Suthers, a director of show organiser ECI International, response to the campaign has already been extremely positive: “We’re still several months away from the show but feedback from visitors is already very encouraging. The UK trade will be there in numbers and there is also a great deal of interest from international delegates, with pre-registrations received from China, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Russia, Poland and many other European countries.”
Advance registrations can also be made by bona fide trade visitors directly at the exhibition website at: www.eci-international.com
Tyre and equipment manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, investors and materials scientists are among the many interest groups committed to visiting the show.
Brityrex 07 is also being promoted to the wider automotive aftermarket with advertising, marketing and editorial campaigns being aimed at the UK and international garage, MOT, commercial and fleet sectors, all of which have a direct and in many cases, growing interest in tyres and equipment.
With the visitor marketing drive in full swing, show exhibitors continue to confirm their involvement with the event. More than 70 per cent of stand space had been sold by mid-January, with expressions of interest being received by potential exhibitors on a regular basis.
Recently confirmed exhibitors include regional wholesaler Northwest Tyres, first-time exhibitor and workshop air tools supplier CP Dessouter Sales, Supertracker/Pang, which joins an already strong line-up of equipment specialists, and wholesaler CGS International.
They join dozens of leading tyre and equipment manufactures and suppliers from around the world who have already pledged their support for the UK’s only dedicated, independent tyre and equipment show of the year
Another draw card for Brityrex 07 will be the presence of several of the tyre industry’s leading professional associations. These will include show sponsor the NTDA, which will be holding its popular annual dinner and AGM to coincide with the exhibition, the Retread Manufacturers Association, the Tyre Recovery Association, Irish Tyre Industry Association and from the US, the Tire Industry of America.
