Arnco Introduces UltraLite Flatproofing Fill

(Akron/Tire Review) Arnco says it has developed a new flatproofing material that is 60% lighter than polyurethane tyre fill material. Dubbed UltraLite, Arnco’s new tyre fill product is specifically designed for slower-speed, light-duty equipment such as lawn tractors, golf and utility carts, truck mounted forklifts, power wheelchairs, and roofing equipment.

Arnco said UltraLite is a liquid polymer and is injected into a new pneumatic tyre assembly, eliminating the need for air. UltraLite solidifies into lightweight flexible foam. The company said it will be marketing the product through its Carefree Tire division.

Carefree Tire will be offering UltraLite-filled tyres for aftermarket sales to Carefree Tire and Arnco certified tire dealers and will also offer a tire filling service to Arnco dealers who want to ship tyre assemblies to the company’s manufacturing facility in Berea, Ohio. Arnco will provide equipment, material and training for those dealers or OE suppliers that choose to fill tyres.
