Accuride to Invest in New Equipment

Wheel and component manufacturer Accuride Corporation have announced it is investing approximately US$25 million in its aluminium wheel business. This capital will be used to purchase two state-of-the-art hydraulic presses and for upgrading other facilities and equipment.

Tentative plans have been made to locate the new press units in Eire, Pennsylvania. They will be installed late 2007 and operational early the following year.

Vice president and general manager of Accuride Aluminum Wheels, Rick Klein, has called the decision to invest a “long-term commitment to our valued aluminium wheel customers.”
