Russian Manufacturer Opens Superstore

The distribution and retail subsidiary of Europe’s fourth largest tyre manufacturer Amtel-Vredestein, AV-TO, has announced the opening of its new showpiece, a tyre and automotive service centre in Moscow. This centre is one of the largest in Moscow, and signals the final step in the company’s 14 month re-branding of its retail network following the acquisition of numerous smaller retail chains.

Amtel-Vredestein has invested over £76 million (US$150 million) into AV-TO since 2005 and plans to expand its retail network to over 200 stores in 2007.
