RH Claydon Looks Ahead to 2007
With farming becoming ever more sophisticated and the equipment used increasingly specialised, it is important that the right tyre for the job be readily obtainable at short notice. National independent tyre wholesaler RH Claydon Ltd boasts a comprehensive range of tyres to meet all needs, and agricultural users looking for a specific tyre are by no means overlooked – a large range of major brand agricultural tyres are always in stock at the company’s four sales and service/distribution branches in England and one in Scotland. Brands stocked include: Goodyear/Dunlop, Continental, Semperit Agricultural, Trelleborg, BKT/Supreme, Titan, Mitas, Kenda, and Duro.
RH Claydon is the exclusive UK and Northern Ireland wholesale supplier of BKT tyres, produced in India by Balkrishna Industries and exported to approximately 75 countries. Balkrishna is also the producer of RH Claydon’s own tyre brand, Supreme. The combined BKT/Supreme brand is today well represented in the UK market, with almost 400 different sizes, patterns and ratings or agricultural, OTR, or ‘land based’ tyres available.
In 2007 the company will celebrate fifty-four years in the business, having been established by Roy Claydon in 1953. Today his son Michael is at the company’s helm in the role of Managing Director, and throughout the coming year RH Claydon will add the latest chapter to their long history with plans to expand the BKT/Supreme range. New for 2007 are a 70 series radial tractor and row crop tyre, a radial flotation tyre and a number of earthmover and turf tyres, including the BKT Armaturf KV LG-306, built with two aramide belts placed beneath the tread area for up to 90% greater protection against punctures.
