Butler to Double in Size
Based near Modena, Italy, Butler Engineering & Marketing originated in 1988. It started as an entrepreneurial venture by a few people with a common vision to change the way tyres were fitted, bringing into line the technical developments of the tyre, wheel and automotive industries. Now almost nineteen years later, Butler is doubling the size of its facilities. By the end of 2007 Butler plans to have expanded from its current 9000 square metres to a site covering approximately 20,000 square metres.
This new site will be in Rolo, not far from Butler’s present site and close to the Modena-Brennero motorway. As well as being larger, the facilities in Rolo will benefit from the latest technology and practices and will therefore be a more environmentally friendly establishment, with renewable energy sources and energy saving building materials being utilised. In addition to the Rolo facility, production will also take place in the Ferrara region, 100 km to the north. The state of the art factory there accommodates all the main phases of the production process.
Butler became part of the Sa.Mi.Ro Group in February 2006 and has been the recipient of the Group’s financial and industrial input. Incorporation into the Sa.Mi.Ro Group also means that Butler can offer its customers an even wider range of products, all still produced entirely in Italy from within the Group.
