The Only Tyfoon That’s Good for Your SUV
Inter-Sprint’s latest news is that the company has released its Tyfoon product in a range of SUV-orientated sizes. The new tyres will initially be available in 11 sizes ranging from 15 – 18 inches in diameter and 55 to 70 series aspect ratios. Speed ratings will vary from H – V. Inter-Sprint describes itself as Europe’s largest car tyre import and export company. The company’s stock includes many European private labels, imports and all premium brands. With the help of the company’s own transport network, customers are supplied numerous times each week throughout Europe.
Furthermore, the company is well-advanced in its plans to open an 80,000 square metre warehouse. According to Inter-Sprint’s Wim Zoet, this development came as a result of increased turnover and means that the company will be able to increase its service offering. Inter-Sprint’s management hopes that the new distribution centre will be ready within the next 18 months.
Like other large wholesaling operations, Inter-Sprint’s stockholding capacity is actually greater than its warehousing space. The wholesaler’s current warehousing space has room for between 1.3 and 1.4 million tyres, with the remaining approximately 400,000 tyres stored in overflow container storage. And an expanded warehouse can only be a good thing. As Wim Zoet told Tyres & Accessories earlier this year, “more space means more tyres, resulting in more sales.”
Another interesting development was that, on 2 May Inter-Sprint became the official importer of Double Coin truck tyres across Europe (excluding the UK & Ireland).
Happy to help
According to Wim-Zoet, Inter-Sprint’s business philosophy means retailers “can, for example, come…for advice on computerisation to name but one of Inter-Sprint’s discerning points.”
Zoet continues: “Our free high-speed e-commerce offers customers a quick overview of prices and availability. This is the fastest, most competitively-priced information medium that currently exists in our sector. It provides access to more than 1.5 million tyres. In other words, you never have to say “no” again. In today’s market, saying no is the equivalent of losing orders!”
Inter-Sprint’s system means clients can download price listings in various file formats (Excel, Word) and even can check shipments of tyres.
The domestic Dutch market remains Inter-Sprint’s main focus, but the company continues to look to other influential markets like the UK and German. In 2005 last year the company experienced a strong 6 per cent rise in UK market sales and an 8 per cent increase in sales into Germany.
