Mike Wise Returns to Kwik-Fit Fleet
Kwik-Fit Fleet will have a new man at the wheel from 4 December 2006 when Mike Wise returns to the company to replace Nigel Davies, who is to become chief executive of London-based Pirtek Europe, the number one provider of hydraulic solutions. Mr Davies, who has spent almost 14 years with Britain’s largest independent fast-fit company, said he was sad to be leaving the company but the new job was an “opportunity I could not refuse.”
He added: “I would like to thank all those customers, suppliers and colleagues whom have been so supportive over the years and helped in taking Kwik-Fit Fleet to its market-leading position.”
Mr Davies was promoted to the job of Kwik-Fit Fleet UK sales director in January this year from director of corporate accounts and subsequently also took charge of European fleet operations following the departure of Mr Wise at the end of May.
Mr Wise, who had headed up the fleet division since the end of 2002, left the fast-fit giant to take a senior management post with auction company Manheim.
On his decision to return to Kwik-Fit to head up the fleet division, Mr Wise said: ‘My return to Kwik-Fit will guarantee continuity of business relationships with all our suppliers and customers. The company is renowned for its market-leading customer service and that will continue unchanged.
“Kwik-Fit’s growth within the fleet market has continued with Nigel at the helm and I will be looking to continue that expansion drive and further develop the range of fast-fit services offered through both our centres and mobile division in 2007.”
