Kirkby Tyres’ Extensive Offering

Kirkby Tyres has been involved in tyre and wheel wholesaling and distribution since 1958, building up a reputation for comprehensive stockholding, economic pricing and dependable delivery. For many years, Kirkby was associated mainly with the Alliance brand of agricultural and earthmover tyres, but in recent years the company has added to its portfolio, notably with brands from China, joining Alliance and all major brands from Europe, the USA and Japan. Kirkby operates from a five-acre site in Liverpool and has a daily delivery service on the UK mainland, for quantities up to and including container loads.

The number of brands available from Kirkby is impressive; the previously-mentioned Alliance range – for which Kirkby is the sole agent for UK and Eire – consists of radial and crossply agricultural, rowcrop and forestry tyres. The flotation range is extensive and all are e-marked, plus Alliance also produces tyres for earthmovers, rough terrain forklifts, road rollers etc; all in all a comprehensive collection of OTR tyres.

Another brand for which Kirkby is the sole agent for the UK and Eire is Double Coin. The range includes truck tyres for all applications and earthmover tyres up to 29.5 R25, with more sizes due to be added. Radial forklift and skidsteer tyres will also be available shortly.

Kirkby is the sole UK agent for Aeolus/Henan tyres, with crossply and radial truck tyres available in sizes from 15″ to 24.5″ and earthmover tyres from 24″ to 51″. Front and rear tractor tyres are also available. Kirkby holds extensive stocks of these tyres, but can arrange direct container loads if required.

Two other Chinese brands, for which Kirkby is the exclusive agent for the UK and Eire, are Armour and Tianli. Armour produces earthmover tyres up to size 1800×33 as well as forklift, skidsteer and agri/industrial tyres. Tianli also produces earthmover tyres, including several products designed for specific applications, such as underground mining operations, and sand tyres up to 25″.

The number of brands held by Kirkby is too large to go into any great detail, but includes Triangle (truck up to earthmover), which has established itself in the UK market over a number of years; Protector (sole agent, UK and Eire) which has OTR tyres in all popular sizes and Linglong, whose range encompasses everything from passenger car tyres through truck to earthmover. Other brands in the wide Kirkby portfolio are Be-Storm/Taifa, Taishan, Kingtyre, Richstar and Nankang.

In addition to tyres, Kirkby offers a range of wheel and wheel assemblies for trucks up to earthmover. All wheels are made to OE specifications and can be manufactured in small batches if required. In the Republic of Ireland, Kirkby Ireland claims to be the largest wholesaler of alloy wheels in the country, offering a next-day delivery service. The company is the sole agent for Wolfrace, Momo, Excite, Cam and Lionheart wheels.
