During the course of 2006 Singapore based wholesaler/distributor Sumo Tyres has aimed to increase its sales presence and media impact in the UK and Europe, marketing its Sumo range as a new brand alternative in the high performance and ultra high performance sectors.

Sumo tyres are available in a range of size and pattern styles, spanning a number of different sectors of the international tyre market. It is the high performance range that the company has specifically targeted for future sales growth through their recently introduced Sumo Firenza range.

The Firenza ST-08 offers a low aspect ratio pattern produced from a base compound that is noise absorbing. The tyre also features two-way sipes and phase shifted pitch blocks for minimal noise levels, excellent traction on wet road surfaces, two straight wide grooves that enhance water drainage plus tight shoulder blocks for road holding on corners.

The range of size and pattern options for the ST-08 continues to grow all the time and it is anticipated that in due course, up to 30 size choices will become available ranging from 15-inch right through to 18-inch diameter in both V and W speed ratings. All Sumo Firenza ST-08 tyres are incorporated with a special exclusive feature that safeguards the rim against damage plus all the sizes (bar four) come with XL (extra load) rating.
