Cooper Tyres Sold at Military Exchanges Being Recalled
(Akron/Tire Review) According to the Army Times, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is recalling an unknown number of Cooper Lifeliner Touring SLE radials sold through Army & Air Force Exchange Service stores in Europe. The H- and T-rated tyres, according to the report, may have a nonconforming belt wire coat stock that could lead to belt wire corrosion. Cooper said it will replace the tyres for free, the Army Times reported.
The affected tyres were sold at the Exchanges since 1 September, the report said, and include Cooper Lifeliner Touring SLE (H-rated): Size: 185/65R15 88H; DOT numbers: 3DADC6D3206 or 3DADC6D3306; TD code: SLEH00551; and Cooper Lifeliner Touring SLE (T-rated): Size: 215/60R15 94H; DOT numbers 3D5JC893206 or 3D5JC893306; TD code: SLEH00557.
