Bike Tyrestore Relocates Call Centre
Motorcycle tyre retailing requires a different kind of knowledge and professionalism to the car or truck segments. And that’s why Bike Tyrestore sees itself as unique compared with other wholesalers. Perhaps one of its most appealing offers is its Free technical training, leading to a certificate of competence as a Motorcycle Tyre Specialist Technician is available to all BTS’ “World Of Bike Tyres” customers.
Bike Tyrestore recently announced that its call centre will now run from the same site as its warehouse (effective 4 December). The new address is: Tyburn Trading Estate, Ashold Farm Road, Birmingham, B24 9QS. The company’s phone, web and email contact details all remain the same.
Earlier this year the company reportedly “revolutionised” its web services with the addition of the NetDespatch Velocity web-based shipping, tracking and systems integration services to provide a live system connecting Bike Tyrestore’s call centre, warehouse despatch operation and 3000 plus customers nationwide, with their express delivery parcel carrier APC Overnight.
Orders received at Bike Tyrestore’s central Birmingham call centre are booked by telesales staff into Cameo, a specially developed management system from Gloucestershire-based CAM Systems. The Cameo system prints picking notes and invoices in the Bike Tyrestore warehouse located several miles away. Cameo also shares this despatch information with the NetDespatch Velocity Connector application, which immediately sends the booking via a secure Internet connection to the NetDespatch web servers.
The company continues to offer next day delivery nationwide of orders taken up to as late as 5.45pm from a stock of all the leading two wheel tyre manufacturers product ranges including Bridgestone (market leader again in 2006) and Sava for whom BTS is Sole UK trade distributor. Also Michelin, Avon, Continental, Dunlop, Pirelli and Metzeler together with many lesser known brandsand tubes, accessories, even Brembo braking technology.
