Yokohama Adds Model-Specific Wheels To Range
Yokohama HPT has added three new ranges of alloy wheels to its product portfolio, with each range specific to a vehicle marque. The wheel ranges are from US companies Bayern, Mandrus and Victor Equipment and the marques are BMW, Mercedes and Porsche, respectively.
The two wheels from Bayern – the Type5 and the Mesh – are suitable for a wide range of BMWs, including the 3, 5, 6, 7, Z3, Z4, X3 and X5 models. They are available in silver, with a deep, machine-polished lip.
There are three designs in the Mandrus range, which has been created specially for the Mercedes C-Class, S-Class, SL, SLK, CLS and ML models. The wheels are designed to work in conjunction with Mercedes’ Tyre Pressure Management System and the three models – The Millennium, the Emil and the Regenmeister – are available in a hyper silver finish with a machine-cut lip.
For Porsche models including the 911, Boxster, Cayman and the Cayenne SUV (for which there is a special a 22″ size), there are two wheels in the Victor Equipment range; the Le Mans and the Turismo. Both have been engineered to complement Porsche’s tyre pressure monitoring system and come in silver or black with a machine-cut lip.
In the larger rim diameters (18″, 19″ and 20″) all the wheels are available in a range of width options to allow for staggered fitments, where wider wheels and tyres are required. All the wheels are available in a chrome finish as a special order.
According to Yokohama HPT, the new prestige brands will complement the company’s existing wheel offering and will be sold through the existing dealership network.
