Riverstone Concentrates on Commercial Tyres
For the Chinese Tire Group of Factories Ltd., Inc, the CITExpo is always is like a home match because it has distribution offices in Shanghai as well production facilities in Shandong province. On the other hand, the manufacturer of the Riverstone tyre brand sells about 100 per cent of its tyres on export markets, says sales representative Rebecca Zhang. Thus the Tire Group of Factories can also benefit from the increasing reputation of the CITExpo show among international visitors. However, the company didn’t present its products on a large scale during the show because it had booked only a very small cubicle. Two truck tyres and some posters would have been enough to do the job, those in charge at the Tire Group of Factories must have thought.
According sales representative Mrs Zhang, there was no need for a big exhibition stand. In turn the company was present at all the major international tyre shows from Essen to Singapore, Johannesburg and now Shanghai.
The company does not only produce and distribute tyres but also car lamps, horns, rear view mirrors, windscreen wipers, and jacks.
This time the Tire Group of Factories has brought two new tread patterns to be offered during the CITExpo show: R156 and R102. Both tread patterns will be available in 12 dimensions – 315/80 R22.5 or 295/80 R22.5. In the past, the company also made attempts to gain a foothold on the PC tyre market with the Riverstone brand. Today, the Tire Group only produces a few radial PC tyres. Also agricultural tyres are not on the top priority list of the company – the Tire Group of Factories obviously tries to turn into a commercial tyre specialist, also having OTR tyres in its portfolio (up to 26.5 inch).
