New Interstate Tyres On The Way

The Interstate passenger car tyre range consists of 29 sizes, in two different patterns; the Interstate Touring IST-1 and the Interstate Sport IXT-1. This covers a large part of the European replacement market for passenger car tyres.

The Interstate Touring IST-1 is a modern directional passenger car tyre, designed to disperse water from the heart of the contact patch to help prevent aquaplaning in wet weather conditions, as well as cornering stability. The special silica tread compound is developed to optimise wet and dry grip and give exceptional handling in these conditions.

The Interstate Sport IXT-1 is an Ultra High Performance tyre that boasts a special performance compound and tread pattern, which gives incredible road holding in all conditions, especially in wet.

Interstate Tires is continuously updating its program and in December 2006 two new sizes in Sport IXT-1 – 225/55R16 (99W) and 23545R17 (97W) – will be available. In March 2007 a new Sport IXT-1 225/55R17 will follow.

Also new for the 2007 season from Interstate is a brand new range of winter tyres. The new Interstate IWT-2 winter tyre has been designed by top European designers and will have the unique ISST-3 compound which at the moment is used only by top brands, says Interstate.
