New HQ For ITDN

Independent Tyre Distributors Network Limited (ITDN) has unveiled its new 4,000 sq ft purpose built offices at the Exeter Road Business Park in Okehampton. ITDN is a company limited by guarantee which now has over 400 independent garage operations in membership providing a nationwide truck breakdown service which will now be co-ordinated from the new Okehampton offices.

Rob Bedford, a partner with chartered accountants Simpkins Edwards who structured the deal for the new premises said: “This building represents an investment of over £700,000 in the business which will accommodate ITDN’s administration section and call centre.

“The building will complement ITDN’s operation in Wareham and will initially have around 25 staff although the building has been created with expansion and job creation in mind.”

ITDN Director, Jean Dawe added: “The business continues to grow rapidly. Business increased by 25 per cent in the last year and we handled 6,000 breakdowns in September alone.

“We held our AGM last month and were delighted when over 70 members attended from all over the country. The event was supported by some big names in the tyre industry including Bridgestone, Michelin, Toyo and Continental and this, along with the quality of our new premises, impressed the delegates and gave them a real confidence boost.

“We expect to take on more staff in the future as we continue to expand and have ensured everyone who works at the new offices will have a pleasant working environment including a wonderful view across Dartmoor.”
