Kumho Tires Presents World’s First 32 Inch SUV Tyre

Kumho Tires has announced that it has developed an ultra-large tyre with a 32 inch rim diameter for the SUV (sports utility vehicle) conversion market. The 305/25R32 size tyre is claimed to be the world’s first ultra-large UHP (ultra-high performance) tyre and extends the boundaries of the SUV conversion market still further.

Part of Kumho’s new ECSTA X3 range scheduled for introduction in the UK early next year, the new tyre has been developed to take a leadership position in the UHP market and will spearhead a growing line-up of top-class, technology-driven conversion products for SUVs. Its features include stability at high speed, excellent traction, durability and powerful braking performance.

Kumho plans to launch the almost one metre tall tyre during November, targeting SUV tuning enthusiasts looking for the most extreme big-wheel conversion options. The tyre is expected to carry a price tag of around US$2,000.

Since launching its 28 inch STX tyre in 2002, Kumho has dominated the North American SUV conversion tyre market and has already successfully developed a 30 inch product.
