Hi-Q “Reins” With Goodyear Tyre Safety Offers
Fast-fit network Hi-Q saddled up with Goodyear recently to ensure visitors to this year’s Blenheim International Horse Trials were as safe on four wheels as they were on four legs. Goodyear is the official British Eventing Safety and Innovation Partner and fast-fit expert, Hi-Q supported the partnership by offering vouchers to visitors and participants at the leading equestrian event which took place at the beginning of September 2006.
The vouchers offered a 10 per cent discount on Goodyear tyres when purchased at any Hi-Q store. “Goodyear is delighted to be a partner organisation for British Eventing. Safety is paramount for both our organisations and the tie-in with Hi-Q means that participants and visitors to the events could not only benefit from a free tyre safety check which Hi-Q carry out at all of its stores, they were also able to take advantage of the offer on Goodyear tyres,” commented Goodyear James Bailey, Corporate Communications manager for Goodyear UK.
British Eventing has over 9500 members, of which 7000 compete regularly throughout the year. Badminton International Horse Trials, the country’s premiere event, is Europe’s biggest annual sporting event, with over 180,000 spectators attending the Cross Country Day. Over 185 events are controlled and regulated by British Eventing annually.
“Hi-Q is proud to be working alongside Goodyear as it supports British Eventing,’ commented Chris Kisby, Hi-Q’s Director of Retail Operations. “Hi-Q is able to offer advice and information on tyres to suit all vehicles whether off road or on, and for the thousands who follow this popular sport there is network of over 140 stores providing a comprehensive range of automotive services throughout the UK.”
